If you are using an "upgrade" CD of Office for Mac and are trying to install, but no longer have the older version installed, follow these steps:
- Install from the new UPGRADE CD
- Follow the Instructions
- When instructed, insert the original CD (E.g. Office:mac Upgrade 2001)
- Browse to the Microsoft Office FOLDER on the original 'CD' (POINTING TO THE 'CD' does not work)
- Install the updates.
